The sixth round of US-brokered Lebanon-Israel talks ended in Rome on 15 July, and a US official said the sides 'agreed on the structure and guidelines for the pilot zone process, to be finalised and implemented in the coming days', Al Jazeera and the Guardian reported. dpa cited sources as saying the zones under discussion included Zawtar al-Gharbiyah, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Sarifa. Hezbollah, not a party to the talks, calls them illegitimate; Lebanon's president had told his delegation to demand an immediate start to Israeli withdrawal.
