Ukraine's deputy defence minister Hanna Maliar said forces had taken Robotyne, about 20 kilometres south of Orikhiv, and were pushing south-east towards Novoprokopivka and Ocheretuvate against fierce resistance. She said 44 square kilometres had been regained around Bakhmut since the summer counteroffensive began. Robotyne was the most visible gain of the southern push, which aimed towards Tokmak and Melitopol.
