US, Britain, France and Germany seek an IAEA board resolution reporting Iran to the UN Security Council, diplomats say
Reportedon one origin only: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party.
Diplomats told Reuters the US, Britain, France and Germany were pushing IAEA board members to pass a resolution the following week reporting Iran to the UN Security Council for the first time in 20 years. Iran has not let inspectors return to bombed sites or verify its enriched uranium, and the IAEA believes well over 200 kg of highly enriched uranium survived in tunnels at Isfahan and at Natanz, Reuters reported. Iran says it has a right to peaceful enrichment and will never build nuclear weapons.
