Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 56 missiles and 675 drones overnight, mainly at Kyiv, after the daytime drone waves of 13 May; Zelensky said only 7% of missiles were intercepted over the two days. Kyiv officials said at least 24 people were killed, including three children, and at least 48 injured when a residential building partially collapsed, and the city declared a day of mourning on 15 May. Russia's defence ministry called it a massive retaliatory strike for Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian objects. Zelensky ordered the military to propose response options and Foreign Minister Sybiha requested a UN Security Council meeting.
