Three very large crude carriers, the Liberia-flagged Serifos and the Chinese-flagged Cospearl Lake and He Rong Hai, exited the Strait of Hormuz on 11 April via a route that bypasses Iran's Larak Island, Reuters reported, citing LSEG and Kpler data, as carried by Al Jazeera. S&P Global counted 22 ships exiting from 8 to 10 April against about 135 daily transits before the war. IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez said about 20,000 seafarers were stuck in the Gulf and that any Iranian tolls would be against international law.
