Separate military tallies from both sides put the dead at 154 in two days of fighting in Taiz, al-Jawf, Marib and Saada governorates, AFP and Reuters reported: Houthi military sources counted 118 of their fighters killed by Saudi airstrikes, clashes and artillery, and government sources 36 on their side. Saudi civil defence said a threat in the Najran border region had passed after an alert. The Houthis seized much of Yemen's Red Sea coast from Saudi-backed forces earlier in the month.
