Iran's state news agency IRNA said on the evening of 19 April that excessive US demands, shifting positions and the naval blockade left no realistic basis for serious talks, and called reports of a second round in Pakistan a US media campaign, DPA reported. Tasnim cited a source as saying there would be no talks on Hormuz as long as the blockade continued. Trump said a US delegation would be in Islamabad on Monday evening; the White House named Vice President JD Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
