Iraq's prime minister's office said investigations confirmed the drone attacks on Saudi Arabia came from Iraqi territory and that the military commander for Maysan province was dismissed, Reuters reported. An Iraqi security source and an official told AFP that Iraq closed the Shalamsheh, al-Shib and al-Mandali crossings with Iran as part of an effort to track the perpetrators and hinder drone smuggling, and Iraq agreed to a joint probe with Iran into launch sites near the border. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an alliance of Tehran-backed armed groups, denied striking the pipeline; no group claimed it.
