CENTCOM says no ship has passed its blockade of Iranian ports and six merchant ships turned back

Reportedon one origin only: 0 distinct origins, 0 tied to no party.

US Central Command said no ships had got past its naval blockade of Iran's ports and coast and six merchant ships had followed orders to turn back, and Admiral Brad Cooper said the blockade was fully implemented within 36 hours, the Times of Israel reported. The Wall Street Journal reported more than 20 commercial ships passed through Hormuz in the previous 24 hours. Ali Abdollahi, head of Iran's central military command, said a blockade that creates insecurity for Iranian vessels would be a prelude to violating the ceasefire and that Iran would not allow trade through the Gulf, the Sea of Oman or the Red Sea, AFP reported citing state TV.
