Drone punches a hole in the turbine hall wall at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant; Russia and Ukraine trade blame

Disputedon credible origins that conflict: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party.

The IAEA said the plant's operator reported a drone hit the turbine building of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, reportedly making a hole in its wall. Rosatom said core equipment was not damaged and accused Ukraine of a deliberate strike with a fibre-optic drone; Ukraine's foreign ministry rejected this as an information operation, asking why it would strike a plant on its own territory it seeks to regain. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said there should be no attack of any kind from or against the plant.
