Freightos: FBX Asia to Mediterranean up 15% to about $4,300 per box as war surcharges loom

Freightos put the FBX Asia to Mediterranean lane up 15% on the week to about $4,300 per 40ft, Asia to North Europe up 10% to about $2,900 and Asia to the US East Coast up 9% to about $3,000. It said carriers had announced flat-rate global emergency fuel surcharges of several hundred dollars per container. Freightos said Iran had kept up attacks on vessels trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz that week.
