EASA issued Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) 2026-07 R3 on 30 September 2026, covering all altitudes and flight levels in the airspace of: - Bahrain (Bahrain FIR - OBBB), - Kuwait (Kuwait FIR - OKAC), - Qatar (Doha FIR - OTDF), - United Arab Emirates (Emirates FIR - OMAE), and - Oman (FIR Muscat - OOMM). Its first recommendation to EU and EASA-authorised operators reads: "Not operate at all altitudes and flight levels within the airspace over the waters of the Persian Gulf within FIR Bahrain (OBBB), FIR Kuwait (OKAC), FIR Doha (OTDF), FIR Emirates (OMAE), except to the extent necessary for arrivals at or departures from aerodromes within the affected FIRs". EASA gave its validity as until 16 November 2026, unless reviewed earlier. It replaced CZIB 2026-07 R2 of 31 August 2026; EASA describes the change as: "The validity of the CZIB was extended until 16 November 2026. No changes to the content or recommendations have been made". CZIBs are EASA recommendations to airlines; binding bans come from national authorities or EASA safety directives.
