Reportedon one origin only: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party.

Drewry's World Container Index composite stood at $4,530 per 40ft container in the assessment for 2 July 2026. Drewry put Shanghai to Rotterdam at $4,682, Shanghai to Genoa at $6,360 and Shanghai to Los Angeles at $6,349 per 40ft. Drewry said the composite rose 9% on the week. It said an interim US-Iran agreement had allowed the Strait of Hormuz to reopen with traffic recovering, but that security risks stayed high after escort operations were suspended following an attack on a containership near Oman. Against Drewry's 5 October 2023 assessment of $1,389.5, the composite was up 226% (our calculation from Drewry's figures). The composite was more than three times its October 2023 level.
