A fire broke out at the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Ufa after a drone attack overnight into 31 October, Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing the Russian outlet Astra, whose analyst identified the reforming unit from eyewitness photos, and the monitoring channel Exilenova+, which reported three fires at what it believed were two refineries. Meduza, citing Ukrainian monitoring channels, reported that Ukrainian drones attacked Bashkortostan and that the refinery in Ufa was hit; it reported residents' accounts of night blasts and columns of smoke, citing Ufa1.ru, and said local authorities did not confirm an attack. A drone-danger regime was declared in Bashkortostan in the morning and an airport suspended operations, Rambler News reported citing Gorobzor.ru; Russia's defence ministry listed Bashkortostan among 19 regions where it said drones were intercepted overnight, Interfax reported. No Ukrainian claim on Ufa dated the day was found.
