CENTCOM said it struck more than 80 targets over about four hours from late on 7 July, in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels, calling them a 'clear violation' of the ceasefire, Al Jazeera and the Guardian reported. Iranian media reported explosions at the commercial and fishing piers of Sirik, on Qeshm island and near Bandar Abbas, and state media said several people were injured by shrapnel at the Sirik commercial pier. Iran's army said eight air force and navy personnel were killed in Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, IRNA reported. A US official told Reuters the targets were air defences, coastal surveillance, surface-to-air and anti-ship missiles and drone launch sites.
