Tanker hit by an unknown projectile about 19 nautical miles east of Khasab, Oman, UKMTO says

The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre said a tanker was hit by an unknown projectile on 16 July about 19 nautical miles (35 km) east of Khasab, Oman, Al Jazeera reported. UKMTO did not name the attacker. The same night the IRGC said it destroyed a US air control radar in Oman's Ghanim area and a maritime surveillance radar on rocks in the strait, and said the waterway 'remains in the hands of the IRGC Navy's admirals'; Oman did not confirm those claims in the reports we saw. CENTCOM's commander has said Iran struck several commercial vessels in the preceding week.
