Iran's Hormuz strait authority blacklists ships it says broke its transit rules and threatens seizure

Confirmedon an admission by the acting party plus an independent origin: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party.

Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority said on X that it had blacklisted tankers that broke its rules for crossing the Strait of Hormuz; Reuters, via The Times of Israel, put the number at 45 tankers, while gCaptain counted 46 vessels on the published list, including gas carriers and the bulk carrier Minoan Dignity, struck days earlier. Listed ships may face fines, detention, seizure or confiscation on future transits, and ships doing ship-to-ship transfers with them may be added. EOS Risk Group said the list leans toward UAE state-linked, Greek-managed and Indian-linked ships. Reuters noted the post does not define Iran's rules; the US sanctioned the authority in May.
