Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said 211 patients undergoing chemotherapy were evacuated from Shahid Baghaei Specialised Hospital in Ahvaz after what he called a 'barbaric' US attack, Al Jazeera reported. The hospital's manager told Al Jazeera the patients were forced to relocate, and a doctor described the blast as 'so close' that staff thought the building had been hit; some patients were on oxygen or ventilators. The hospital director told Fars the US attacks had put the hospital out of service. The US did not comment on the strike; Iranian officials say 17 hospitals have been severely damaged across this war and the June 2025 conflict.
