Belgorod's acting governor Alexander Shuvaev said infrastructure facilities were damaged and caught fire in an overnight attack on 4 July, and that the supply of electricity and water was disrupted, the Kyiv Independent reported. He reported no casualties in preliminary information. Local footage suggested the Luch thermal power plant was hit, which the Kyiv Independent said it could not verify. The strike came as Ukraine pressed a campaign of strikes on Russian energy and fuel sites in early July.
