10 June 2026 in brief

Israeli strikes killed at least 16 people in and around Tyre, including nine in Tayr Debba, Lebanon's National News Agency said, and Lebanon's health ministry put the toll since 2 March at 3,696 killed and 11,413 injured. [1][2] Iran's health ministry put the number killed in Iran at 3,468 and the injured at more than 26,500, and the US military said 381 of its personnel had been wounded. [1][2][3] Three Indian sailors were killed when US forces fired on the tanker Settebello off Oman, which CENTCOM said was violating the blockade, and India summoned a senior US diplomat in protest. [1] The US carried out a second night of strikes across Iran, which CENTCOM said hit surveillance, communication and air defence sites, and Iranian state media reported at least two wounded in Kargan; the IRGC claimed attacks on 21 US targets in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, which those countries said were all intercepted. [1][2] The IAEA board of governors passed a resolution asking Iran for complete information on its enriched uranium and access for inspectors, according to reports, and Iran's envoy called it politically motivated.
